PNG and Christmas

So Sorry that I haven't updated in forever! Life has been crazy busy but so much freaking fun!!! First off lets talk PNG. My team made a little news letter so I am going to post what I put in there and then share some more.
If I would have to put Papua New Guniea into one word it would be epic! God moved so much while we were there. One thing that really touch me while we were there is this child named Jackson. Jackson was a ten year old kid that would walk home with me every night after our programs and he would sing and tell me stories about his family. The last night we were in Wau Jackson brought his family to the service to meet us. His dad told me that Jackson would come home every night telling them stories about us and he told them how much we loved all the people there. Jackson is going to change the world if he stays close to God and continues to grow in a relationship with Him. That is my prayer and hope for him as well.

Really PNG did change my life forever and God has spoken to me about going back there. So a little about what we did....Almost everyday for 3 weeks we would do a program at a church or market. There would be anywhere from 300-800 people there and the response to the programs were amazing! God moved so much and everyday/night people would give their liefs to Christ and even more would come up for prayer!! God really gave me a heart for these people.
So in our free time we would play with about 20 kids! The kids thought we were the funniest things they had ever seen. One thing that touch me the most is sometimes the kids would cry after they walked us home and they said it was because nobody in their lifes would show them the love that we did. Some of them haven't even heard I Love You! Thats when my heart would break!!! It was the hardest place to leave (besides home). I can't wait to go back! I have tons more stories but don't really know which ones to share.
So Christmas here on base has been great and so weird! Even right now all of my DTS is watching a ton of Christmas movies all night long. Today was the first Christmas that I opened my presents in bed. Also the food was so amazing!!!
Prayer Request: People are missing home, We are raising money for our second outreach and funds have to be in by the 5th of January! People have been getting sick so please pray for healing and also as well nobody else gets sick! Thanks all and I love you very much!!!!!!!!

Life is moving so fast, and some times I feel like I can't keep up. I know that God has a plan for my life, but not knowing what that plan is is so hard for me. People ask "So what are you going to do after DTS is over?". I have no idea, and at times I'm ok with that and sometimes I'm just not. The important thing is to remember that this is not my life. I have given it to Him, and He is in complete control. He knows the desires of my heart. He knows what I long for. Also His timing is perfect and will be perfect for me. So even though I know all that I still struggle with being ok with not knowing what I'm going to do when I get home.

Giving this to God is so hard, but I'm doing right now. God I'm sick of trying to take control and figure out my life. I let this go and don't want it back. I have options but I won't dwell on them any longer. I'm trusting You to lead me and show me the next step.

We leave for PNG in two weeks. We are starting to get stuff that we are taking all together, and becoming really excited. We still need quiet a bit of money to come in, so please be in prayer for that! Its going to be a really excited time for us. I'm excited because I don't think that I have ever been pushed like I'm going to be there. It will be physically hard for me. Please keep these things in your prayers.

This last week was amazing! I have never felt God and seen Him this much in my life. He is so big and longs to be use by us. He used me in ways I would have never thought of. He really knows everything about us. The same God that creates the most beautiful flowers, the most beautiful oceans, the most beautiful everything created ME and YOU. That means you are the most beautiful! We are His favorite ones! Freedom is ours. Proclaim that truth over your life!!! God is so amazing. He is our identity.

We leave in 3 weeks for PNG and I am so excited! I'm super nerves. I'll be challenge like never before and I can't wait for it!!!! Bulolo and Wau are the different villages we are going to and sharing the Good News. Hiking everywhere we go!We have to wear clothes that I have never worn before! I'm just so excited and can't wait!!!

Tonight we have Youth Street and that's just so much fun! The kids just need people to love them and people that really care about them and who they are. They have so much to offer, but they just get told they are nothing and they are stupid. They are so freaking smart! They are some of the most creative kids I know!

Please pray for me and that I would be sensitive to God and His words. Pray as we prepare for PNG. We still need a lot of money, but we do trust in God and one of His character traits is provider. Pray for rest, we do so much here and its very hard to do what God wants you to when your warn out! Thank you!

Keys to the Earth

Today in worship I prayed that God would lay something on my heart, and He totally did! So on Saturday night at Youth Street the speaker was talking about how God gave us the keys to the earth. So this morning I was praying God so me something big, and something that I really need to learn. As I was worshiping I saw a picture of a key, then Psalm 47 came to me.

"Clap your hands, all you people. Shout to God with joy. The Lord most high is wonderful. He is the great King over all the earth! He defeated nations for us and out them under our control. He chose the land we would inherit. We are the children of Jacob, whom he loved. God has risen with a shout of joy; the Lord has risen as the trumpets sounded. Sing praises to God. Sing praises. Sing praises to our King. Sing praises. God is King over all the earth, so sing a song of praises to him. God is the King over the nations. God sits on his holy throne. The leaders of nations meet with the people of the God of Abraham, because the leaders of the earth belong to God. He is supreme."

What I love most about this is that it talks about worshiping. That is what I was doing when this came to me.God has put us in control of the earth. We are here to do his will. He has put us over everything that is on this earth. It is time for us to use what he has given us and spread the word to his people.

Getting here and being here

So i'm finally here! The trip here was so hard. I was leaving LAX going to New Zealand and a bird hit the plane. They turned the plane around and went back to LA. Had to spend the night in LA. So I missed my connecting flights to get to Australia. Then I got to stay the night in New Zealand. Finally after almost 72 hours of traveling I was here! When I got here I wanted to come straight home. I'm feeling better now but haven't really done much expect sleep and put my stuff away. I'm sharing a room with 7 other girls 3 of which that are from the stated. I miss home a lot right now. It's hard to find time to call home. I'm trying to downland skype right now so I can talk to people. I don't feel good so please pray that I feel better! We have our first real time to meet other people today so I hope that goes well. School starts tomorrow which I'm really excited about! The weather reminds me of Nicaragua! That brings peace to me. I'll update more later! Love much!!

In a week I leave this place that I have called home for the past nine years . Even though I will only be away for six months, it still feels like a new start. I'm realizing that this place I call home is not really home. The saying "home is where the heart is" is so true. My heart is no longer in just Edmond, Oklahoma. My heart is everywhere. So, my home is anywhere the Lord has me.

The next week is going to go by so fast that my fear is I'll miss it. I know myself to well to know that I will not let that happen. Kelly Wehunt once asked me " What would happen if in every situation in life we look to find God in it?". Well I think that we would always be on our knees thanking the Lord, praying, and our love for Him would be so deep! So that is my main focus this week. Find God in everything, everywhere.

Lord come be the fire inside of me.
